Neufeld

Neufeld is a small, idyllic club and guest marina in the natural foreland at the mouth of the River Elbe, run by Sportbootclub Neufeld e.V. The position is 53°54'27″N 9°01'23″E, and the marina lies surrounded by geese, sheep and wildlife in an unspoilt marshland.

The approach is marked with the club's own withies at intervals of about 8 metres along the port side coming from the sea, with two sharp bends at the steep edge at the start of the foreland. The marina can be entered by boats drawing up to 1.40 metres, from 2 hours before to 1 hour after mean high water at Brunsbüttel. At low water the basin dries out to soft mud fore and aft, while the middle section should be avoided by keelboats. Guests can moor at any free berth or alongside other boats.

The marina offers toilets, showers, fresh water and shore power, plus a barbecue area, a mast crane and a slipway for launching. Right by the marina are two well-known and popular pubs/eateries.

About 1 km from the marina there is a farm shop selling fresh vegetables, fruit and other local delicacies. The nearest grocery store is in Marne, 5 km away. Two playgrounds and a football pitch can be reached after a short walk in the 600-strong village of Neufeld. Moor up at a free berth in the quiet foreland and take the short walk to the farm shop or one of the pubs by the harbour.
