About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Marina Hafen Hohen Wieschendorf lies in the middle of a Natura 2000 nature reserve in the picturesque Wismar Bay on the Baltic Sea, one of the region's most popular sailing areas. The marina has 100 berths and is open from mid-April to mid-October – from 15 October to 15 April it is closed to protect resting and wintering birds, and must not be entered during this period.
Approach is via the buoyed fairway in Wismar Bay; leave the fairway at buoy 27 on a course of 253°. Water depth in the harbour is at least 5 metres. A guest berth costs €3 per metre of boat length started, including crew, valid until 12:00 the following day, while short-term stays of up to 3 hours cost a flat €5.
On the pontoon you'll find a sanitary building with toilets and showers as well as a washing machine and dryer. The marina has a slipway and a 4-tonne crane, and the harbour master offers cold drinks and a bread-roll service. There is a restaurant and a Café & Bistro on site, plus rental of bicycles, SUP boards and beach chairs. Car parking is available at the harbour.
Right next to the marina is a sandy beach with beach chairs, and it's a short trip from here to the historic Hanseatic city of Wismar with its UNESCO World Heritage status, as well as the Baltic seaside resort of Boltenhagen and the island of Poel.
