About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Masnedø Marinecenter is a private working harbour on the island of Masnedø near Vordingborg, also set up so that visiting sailors can use part of the facilities. The site has historically housed one of southern Zealand's largest marine centres, which closed after an expropriation linked to the new bridge and railway line across Masnedsund, but has since reopened offering boat storage, winter lay-up, repairs and equipment sales.
Mooring at the guest berths may be required if other vessels are awaiting repairs in the harbour. The dockyard itself has a water depth of around 2 metres, and visiting sailors can moor briefly at the pier.
The marina's great strength is its boating supply store, described as one of Denmark's best-equipped, with over 22,000 items in stock for boat owners and sailors in need of equipment, spare parts or repairs along the way.
Opposite the harbour, a visitor pier has been built from which you can easily walk to shop at Lidl and Netto, or visit the bakery with its 24-hour kiosk. It is only a short 10-minute walk via the tunnel under the Masnedsund Bridge, or just 5 minutes from the visitor pier opposite. Moor up and make use of the well-stocked chandlery while taking advantage of the nearby shopping just across the sound.
