About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Næstved Kanalhavn is one of Næstved Sejlklub's three harbours and lies on Ydernæs, right at the start of the excavated canal to the town of Næstved, reached after a passage through the marked channel across Karrebæk Fjord. The harbour is sheltered from westerly winds, and peace and quiet prevail here.
There is always room for visiting sailors at berths marked GUEST/green, and the harbour has electricity and water on the jetties. The clubhouse welcomes guests with a kitchen, bathing and toilet facilities, plus a large terrace overlooking the harbour, Karrebæk Fjord and Gavnø. Beside the clubhouse there are also tables, benches and a barbecue for free use, and the harbour has a service crane for masts and boats up to 20 tonnes, as well as a boatyard/hard-standing area.
According to the harbour's listed facilities, it also offers fuel, a slipway, pump-out, a washing machine, a playground, bike rental, chandlery/boatyard services and wifi.
After a 4.1 km walk or bike ride from Kanalhavnen you reach Næstved town centre at Axeltorv, with shops, numerous restaurants and attractions, plus onward connections to BonBon-Land and Næstved Storcenter. The nearest grocery stores (Netto and Lidl) are 2.7 km away, and there is a bakery 2.25 km from the harbour. Moor in the calm Kanalhavn, enjoy the view from the terrace, and take a bike ride into Næstved or out towards Gavnø.
