About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Jacobshavn – also known as Appenæs Bådelaug – is a small, privately owned marina at Appenæs south of Næstved, in the old Suså arm where the Suså river flows into Karrebæk Fjord. The harbour has around 40 boat berths from the jetty by the slipway and northwards, and after a gap of about 50 metres a further approximately 30 berths near Bakkevej.
Under normal conditions the water depth is no more than 1.20 metres, dropping to as little as 90 cm–1.00 metre at low tide. The channel is marked with red and green poles from the canal north of Gavnø all the way to Jacobshavn, and boats pass a wreck marked by a pole with a black ball. The boat club is a member of the "Frihavnsordningen" (free-port scheme), meaning members can stay in the harbour for up to three days free of charge. Visiting sailors who are not members currently pay 100 DKK per night.
The harbour offers toilets, showers, a slipway and shore power on the jetty. Just 100 metres from the harbour is a grocery store (Brugsen) open seven days a week, selling both petrol and diesel as well as everyday necessities; for a wider selection, a bus runs to Næstved roughly every 30 minutes. The harbour also has nice barbecue areas with tables and benches, and the clubhouse has a small kitchenette that guest sailors are welcome to use.
The bus stop is located about 75 metres from the harbour.
