About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026

Lille Nodeviga is home to Odderøya museumshavn, a museum harbour in the inner part of Nodeviga on Odderøya in Kristiansand, right by Kunstsilo and the city centre (Kvadraturen). The harbour is set up as an experience and exhibition area around a new pier facility, showcasing classic Norwegian plastic and wooden boats, partly in cooperation with Bragdøya kystlag.

A new pier facility, designed by the architecture firm Helen & Hard, opened in the summer of 2025. The pier is universally designed and open 24 hours a day. Note that large parts of the museum harbour remain a closed construction site, and it is not possible to drive in by car. During the 2026 summer season the area is open every day in July from 11am-4pm and on weekends in August from 11am-4pm, with free admission.

On site you'll find the summer café Kafe Kabyssen, which offers free entry in summer, along with children's activities such as a treasure hunt in the sandbox, water channels and a microscope. A public toilet is available nearby.

The harbour enjoys a sunny spot in Nodeviga, just a stone's throw from Kvadraturen and Kunstsilo, and forms part of the larger Odderøya development area. Head out to Nodeviga and discover the floating exhibition of classic Norwegian plastic boats close to the heart of Kristiansand.
