About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Auglandsbukta is a municipal small-boat harbour in the Vågsbygd district, west of Kristiansand city centre. The harbour lies in a sheltered cove and, according to an official environmental report from Kristiansand municipality, is the largest of the municipality's 22 small-boat harbours, with 565 berths.
Car parking is offered for boat owners at the harbour. Toilets are available on site, but they are code-locked and reserved for berth holders – the code is sent by text message once the berth fee has been paid. A waste station with recycling containers is available from April to early November, and as one of the harbours with the most berths, Auglandsbukta has general waste containers from March to October. In winter, boat owners can arrange winter storage through the municipality's contracted transporter for the western zone.
Within walking distance of the harbour is a well-kept park hosting Christmas markets in December and a café during summer. From the area you can also take a boat to the island of Bragdøya, which has swimming spots and old salt houses. A short walk further on lies the Storenes recreational area with rocky shores, swimming spots and a sandy beach, and the Amfi Vågsbygd shopping centre, with more than 40 stores, is about a kilometre away.
