About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026

Nykøbing Sjælland Lystbådehavn is a large marina, beautifully situated at the bottom of the Nykøbing Sj. bay in Isefjord, sheltered and close to both forest and the town centre. With 440 permanent berths it is the largest of Odsherred's three harbours, and numerous residents and houseboats keep the harbour lively all year round.

The harbour consists of a large basin with several spacious jetties. Depth at the entrance and in the basin is around 3 metres, though only about 1.60 metres in the innermost part. Guest berths cannot be booked in advance, and the price depends on the boat's length – starting from 225 kr for boats up to 10 metres. Water and electricity are included in the price, and payment is made at the machine by the harbour office.

The harbour offers fuel (diesel), water and wifi on the jetties, a crane and a slipway, showers and a laundry room, as well as a playground and a barbecue area – including a large electric grill big enough for several families at once, with tables, benches, hammocks and a bonfire spot. There's bike rental, a cosy kiosk selling provisions and ice cream, and Café Sommer Salonen. In 2024 the harbour was upgraded with several new jetties.

Just a short walk from the jetties lies Nykøbing Sjælland with its pedestrian street Algade, restaurants, shops and the Odsherred Theatre. The harbour itself is home to a small artists' village with craftsmen and galleries that hold a big market every July.
