Ö-varvet

Ö-varvet is a shipyard for new construction, repair and service, located at Kabyssvägen 11 on Öckerö. The yard has more than 100 years of experience and also has production facilities on Hönö, where mechanical work such as winch and trawl drum manufacturing and steel and aluminium constructions are carried out.

The yard's core service is dry-docking: a slipway with a capacity of 900 tonnes and dimensions of 70 x 12 metres, capable of handling vessels with a draft of up to 6.5 metres. In addition there is a ship lift that can raise 150 and 300 tonnes, two large ship trailers (50 and 150 tonnes) and a mobile crane with a 90 tonne-metre capacity for moving vessels around the yard.

Beyond dry-docking, the yard offers repair and service for all types of vessels up to 900 tonnes, rebuilding, marine electronics through Marine In West, electrical work from 12 to 440 volts, engine service on diesel engines, and surface treatment such as water blasting and anti-corrosion painting.
