About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Hönö Röd harbour is a small fishing and leisure harbour on the island of Hönö in the Gothenburg archipelago, with an adjoining motorhome parking area right by the water and close to the Ersdalen nature area. The harbour has a quiet setting among old boathouses along the shore.
The harbour is easily reached by car ferry from Lilla Varholmen, a roughly 12-minute crossing to Öckerö/Hönö, after which you drive straight through the roundabout past Hönö Tappen and the ICA supermarket and turn right to reach the harbour.
On site there is access to electricity, fresh water and a service building with a dishwashing room, three toilets and two showers. There is also the option to empty holding tanks and grey water, plus fixed barbecue spots. A grocery store and the Tappen convenience shop are within walking distance, making it easy to restock supplies.
Just outside the harbour you can fish from the quay, wander among the boathouses and swim from the pier, which has a bathing ladder, or enjoy the surrounding rocky and sandy beaches. A small playground sits in the cosy Ersdalen area, from where you can also walk on into the Ersdalen nature reserve with its varied landscape of cairns, old house foundations and rich birdlife. Tie up at Hönö Röd and experience the relaxed archipelago atmosphere close to both sea and nature.
