About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Segelclub Prinzensteg e.V. is a sailing club in Haltern am See, located at the Stadtmühlenbucht in the northwestern part of the Halterner Stausee reservoir. The club has around 350 members and offers 80 water berths for keelboats plus a large dinghy park ashore.
The waters may only be used from 1 March to 15 November, and motors are not permitted except on the club's own safety boats. Sailing requires a registration number from the city of Haltern and a valid inland waters sailing licence. The berth plan for the season is posted in the club's Segelkammer.
The clubhouse, built in 2004, sits on the sunny side with a view of the jetty through a large glass front. It offers sanitary facilities with toilets and showers, and the room is used for theoretical sailing courses, club parties and choir rehearsals. The club has also held the "Blaue Flagge" environmental award for 25 years in recognition of its sustainable approach to watersports.
Right next to the clubhouse is the restaurant „Kajüte“, part of the newly redeveloped building complex in Zweistromland. Tie up at Prinzensteg and enjoy the sunset from the club's terrace overlooking the Stadtmühlenbucht.
