About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

Segelsportverein Wiking e. V. is a sailing club based on the Wieltsee lake in Dreye near Bremen, with direct access to the river Weser, which is also navigable for deeper-draught boats. The club has existed for more than 70 years and its fleet ranges from small Optimist dinghies through racing and touring dinghies to 10-metre sailing yachts and motor yachts.

During the season the boats lie at the club's jetties on the Wieltsee. Right by the harbour stands the clubhouse, with a cosy common room and a sunny terrace offering a view over the whole Wieltsee, the adjoining fields and the dyke. Outside the sailing season, boats and gear are stored safely in the club's own winter storage hall, located less than two kilometres from the harbour itself, which also has common rooms used for socialising and talking sailing during the winter months.
