About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Wassersport-Zentrum Oberweser is a free marina with no club membership required, located at Weser-km 359.1 in Bremen-Hemelingen, above the Weserwehr. The marina has around 180 berths in a sheltered basin, with pile-mooring boxes, finger pontoons, mooring buoys and hard-standing spots for boats up to 20 metres long and 5.50 metres wide. There is no tidal range at the berth, as the marina lies in the impounded stretch of the Oberweser. A draft of up to 1.50 metres is possible. Visiting yachtsmen can usually get a berth at short notice by calling the harbourmaster; the guest fee is charged per metre of boat length per night, plus a waste fee and, if you use it, a charge for shore power.
Entry is either via the Sportbootschleuse Hemelingen from Bremen and then about three kilometres upstream, or from Achim, where the marina lies to starboard. Right outside the harbour entrance is a marked waterskiing course almost two kilometres long.
On site there are sanitary buildings with showers, water and electricity connections on the pontoons, and disposal for bilge water, chemical toilets and general waste. A fuel berth offers Super petrol and HVO100 diesel, open daily from 1 April to 31 October, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A slipway for trailer boats and a boat hoist rated up to 8.5 tonnes and 4.50 metres beam are also on the premises, with lifts carried out year-round by appointment. A large car park at the marina has room for cars with trailers too.
