About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Padda is a small island in the Oslofjord, right in the middle of the sea area known as Paddehavet, off Bekkelaget and surrounded by the islands Ulvøya, Malmøya and Ormøya. The island hosts a small-boat harbour and storage area and is today run by Sørfonden Slipp AS, which offers a total of 450 boat berths plus winter storage ashore for around 220 boats. The harbour is reached from the mainland via a footbridge on floating pontoons, and the business is open year-round with seasonally adjusted opening hours; the winter harbour season runs from 16 October to 10 April.
On Padda you'll find three slipways with lifting capacity up to 17 tonnes as well as a hoist crane, so boats can be taken out of the water for servicing and antifouling. There is a customer toilet by the shop, and waste handling is well organised with a closed container for mixed commercial waste, a covered waste raft with sorted bins for food, paper, plastic, glass and metal waste, plus an environmental station for hazardous waste that is open during business hours. Sørfonden Slipp also runs a chandlery and online shop with engine service parts and everything for boat maintenance, so you can have supplies delivered straight to your boat in Paddehavet.
The island itself is a small natural gem, with concrete WWII-era foundations on its summit, and is protected as a plant conservation area.
