About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Strömstad guest harbour is the municipality's large guest marina right in the town centre, at the northern tip of Bohuslän. It offers around 300 guest berths along piers and quays and is counted among Sweden's largest guest harbours.
The guest harbour and its service facilities are open and accessible year-round. You can book and pay for your berth through the harbour's own online booking system, and a harbour host can be reached by phone if you need assistance.
Ashore you'll find toilets located between the harbour office and Göstases as well as on Torskholmen. Showers are free of charge and run by the Badhuset (bathhouse) during its opening hours — access is via a code you receive when booking or paying for your berth. At the northern end of the harbour, below the Scandic Laholmen hotel, there is a recycling station where you can sort glass, metal, cardboard and plastic and dispose of household waste; there is also a free day dock for sorting rubbish near the Badhuset and harbour office.
The location is right in the heart of town, within short walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs, cafés, fishmongers, the post office, banks, a pharmacy and the state liquor store (Systembolaget). It's only 100 metres to the train and bus terminal, and boat connections to the Koster Islands and Norway are close by. Diesel, petrol and gas are available about 300 metres from the harbour.
