About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Sand Marina is a modern marina with around 250 berths, located on Spjærøy on the western side of Asmalsundet, in the heart of the Hvaler archipelago. The marina is well sheltered from wind and weather, has good depths of 3 metres or more, and accommodates boats of all sizes up to 80 feet.
Guest berths are located by the fuel berth and are clearly marked with «Gjesteplass» signs. There you have access to fresh water and shore power. At the fuel berth you can refuel and take on water around the clock.
The marina offers toilets with showers, a waste container, and a slipway. The kiosk sells Diplom ice cream, crisps and sweets as well as some chandlery items, while the restaurant serves light dishes, pizza, main courses, salads and desserts, along with a wide selection of wine, beer and drinks. There is good parking available at the facility.
It's a short distance to Koster and the rest of the Hvaler archipelago, and to Fredrikstad, which has good bus connections. Across the sound at Rød there is a grocery store. Berth at the guest spots by the fuel dock and enjoy the archipelago views from Sand.
