About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Sandvika guest quay is a municipal guest harbour in Sandvika, the administrative centre of Bærum municipality, right on the Oslofjord. The harbour stretches along the Sandvikselva river from Kalvøybroen to Rigmorbrygga and continues from there as the Elvepromenaden riverside walk until the quay front ends; the whole area is owned and operated by Bærum municipality.
The guest quay and Elvepromenaden are open seasonally from the last Friday before Easter until 15 October. The maximum stay is two days, and a boat must be away for at least one day before a new period can begin. Quiet hours apply across the whole area between 23:00 and 09:00.
Within the harbour area there is a municipal pump-out station for sewage, which must not be blocked. Parking is also available at Kadettangen and under the E18 motorway in Sandvika, close to the guest quay.
The nearest swimming spot at Kadettangen is only about 50 metres away, and a short walk takes you further out to Kalvøya, which offers several bathing spots and a nature trail. Sandvika also has the Sandvika Storsenter shopping mall with a wide range of shops, archipelago trips aboard M/S Rigmor or M/S Rigfar, and a direct train connection to central Oslo. Just east of the guest harbour lies Solvik marina with a 24-hour fuel pump, and there is also a concrete boat ramp for launching on the north side of Kadettangen. Tie up at Sandvika guest quay and explore town life, archipelago and swimming spots all in one stop.
