About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026

Solumstrand is a guest harbour run by the Drammens Seilforening sailing club, located on the outskirts of old Drammen on the Drammensfjord, in a well-established residential area.

You pass the breakwater and enter the harbour from the northwest, with plenty of room to manoeuvre between the mooring poles and usually good shelter, except in strong northerly winds. There is no noticeable current inside the harbour. Boats are normally moored bow-to a fixed pontoon with stern lines to poles on either side of the berth, either alongside a quay or a floating pontoon. There is no fixed system for overnight guest berths, so it is a good idea to contact the harbour in advance, especially for depths over 1.80 metres.

Shore power and fresh water are available at the pontoons. A certified mobile crane can be hired by arrangement for maintenance and repairs, and parking is available on the club's grounds.

Right by the entrance and outside the breakwater there are good swimming spots, and Wednesday regattas for all levels are held during the season. A bus toward Svelvik and Drammen passes just outside the storage areas, and a short walk up the hill to Åskollen brings you to both a KIWI and a REMA grocery store. Tie up at Solumstrand and enjoy the lively Wednesday sailing scene along with easy access to shops and swimming.
