Sportboothafen Genthin

Sportboothafen Genthin is a small, cosy marina on the Elbe-Havel-Kanal in Genthin, run by SV Chemie Genthin e.V. The marina is especially suited to trailerable boats up to 4.5 tonnes, which can be launched and hauled out using the marina's modern crane (up to 5 tonnes, 60 € per lift).

The marina is signposted 500 metres away from both directions along the canal. Heading west you reach the Pareyer Schleuse lock in about 90 minutes and on to the Elbe, while heading east the Wusterwitzer Schleuse lock is about 90 minutes away, leading on to the Havel, Potsdam and Berlin. Berthing fees are 1.50 € per metre of boat length, and a short stay of up to 3 hours with access to the sanitary building costs 3.00 €. Electricity including 100 litres of water costs 5.00 € per day/night, with extra water at 1.00 € per 100 litres. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

The marina's sanitary building has toilets and showers (2 x 1 € in coins), plus a washing machine and dryer (3 x 1 €). Pump-out of holding tanks is available via a coin-operated suction system (4 minutes per session, 4.00 €). Shore power and fresh water are available at the berths, and parking for car and trailer (3.00 € per day/night) can be arranged.

Just a 4-minute walk from the marina you'll find several grocery stores, a fuel station, a drinks kiosk and a post office.
