About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Sportboothafen Hoya is run by Wassersport-Verein Hoya e.V. and lies at Weser kilometre 298.9 on the river's left bank, close to the blue bridge that links to the centre of Hoya. The marina welcomes canoes, motorboats and guests arriving by raft alike.
Boats under 8 metres are accommodated inside the harbour, while larger boats find room at the outer jetties. Guest berths are located both north and south of the harbour and are clearly marked. For spontaneous visits, guests are asked to phone the harbourmaster in advance. Payment is cash only, via a service box with envelopes and a cash tin - the tap bar at 'Else' has no fixed opening hours.
The harbour offers a slipway with an assist jetty for both motorboats and canoes, power and water at the berths, lighting on the jetties and around the harbour, plus a grill area and a pavilion ('Kral') with a view over the harbour. The clubhouse has shower and toilet rooms for women and men (wheelchair accessible), a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, bicycles and a bike trailer for carrying supplies, and overnight accommodation in the Kanu-Hotel or Kanu-Scheune by arrangement.
Hoya's town centre is a short walk or bike ride away, with supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, DIY stores, petrol stations and shops. Tie up at one of the marked guest berths north or south of the harbour and stroll across the blue bridge into Hoya's welcoming town centre.
