About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Stärnö Gästhamn is a small marina on the east side of the Stärnö peninsula, about 3 km south-west of the centre of Karlshamn. The harbour is run by Stärnö Vindhamns Båtklubb and is known as a well-protected harbour regardless of wind direction, with pontoon mooring.
The approach and berths have a depth of around 6 metres, and guest berths are marked in green. Mooring is with a bow line to a pole (bom), and an overnight stay costs 150 SEK including electricity; payment can be made via Swish or cash. The harbour is open from May to September.
At the pontoons you have access to electricity and fresh water. Within the harbour area there is also a covered barbecue area, a playground, and bicycles available to borrow for paying boat guests.
The surroundings offer extensive, well-planned hiking areas within the Stärnö and Boön nature reserves with marked trails, the chance to swim from the cliffs, and a nearby swimming spot with catering. The island of Boön, once home to Sweden's largest shipyard, lies just east of the harbour and has a walking trail with information boards on its history. Moor up in this sheltered harbour and set off to explore the nature and history around Stärnö.
