Strusshamn

Strusshamn is a guest harbour on a small islet off the village of Strusshamn on Askøy, on the Byfjorden just outside Bergen. The place has a long maritime history and once served as a quarantine and church harbour, and it is regarded as one of the best harbours in the area, offering good shelter in almost all weather.

Guest berths here are offered by several different operators: the islet itself and its adjoining piers are run by a coastal heritage association with payment via app, while a floating dock by the boat centre is run by a private company with payment via QR code on the quay, and a few berths at the motorboat association's dock are paid via mobile payment. Mooring is to floating docks and, in part, a fixed quay around the outer islet, with good depths for sailboats. Shore power is available from cabinets on land along most of the islet.

On the islet you'll find a modern sanitary building with toilets and showers (paid per use), plus a washing machine and tumble dryer. Fuel is also available, along with a playground for children.

Just a couple of minutes' walk from the harbour is a small shopping centre, and two large supermarkets lie about 7 minutes on foot. The buildings around the guest harbour also house art studios and venues used for concerts. Tie up in Strusshamn and experience a genuine piece of coastal heritage on Askøy.
