About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026SVG - Segler-Vereinigung Geesthacht is a quiet club marina on the north bank of the Elbe at river kilometre 585, just downstream of the Geesthacht lock on the starboard side. The club has two harbour areas - Hafen 1 in the new harbour district and Hafen 2 on the idyllic lock island - with a total of 30 berths for boats up to 12 m in length and 4 m in beam.
The marina offers 10 guest berths and is described as a quiet port, an ideal stopover. Electricity and water are available on the jetties, while sanitary facilities are located in the clubhouse, renovated in 2013 and accessed by code. Moorings in the idyllic harbour on the lock island are also possible by prior arrangement.
In the clubhouse's sanitary area you'll find toilets and showers as well as a washing machine and dryer. Ashore there's a barbecue area with a hut and a playground. The harbour master also lends bikes to guests free of charge.
Within walking distance you'll find shops, including a supermarket and a small shopping area, and right next to the marina lies a biotope offering pure nature for nature lovers. Tie up at SVG and enjoy the peaceful setting close to the lock and unspoilt nature.
