Bootsclub Drage

Bootsclub Drage is a small sailing club marina on the Elbe river, at river kilometre 590, just below the lock at Geesthacht – an ideal stop for a short trip or as a stopover right before or after locking through. The harbour basin has recently been dredged by a specialist company so that all berths can now be reached regardless of the tide, even by boats with a deeper draught. Follow the red and green boards when choosing a berth; boats over 8 metres should moor at the rear pontoon B on the east side, and the pontoon head must be kept clear. An overnight stay costs €12 for boats up to 10 metres LOA, plus €2 per extra metre per night, including shore power (about 800W per connection) and water. If the harbourmaster is not present, put the money in an envelope from the clubhouse with the date and boat name and post it through the letter slot at the entrance. Toilets and showers are in the lower part of the clubhouse (behind, downstairs, around the corner) – bring 50-cent coins for the showers. There is waste sorting, and the harbourmaster lends out bicycles free of charge subject to availability, so you can explore the nature of the Elbmarsch. Right next door is the pub "Zur Elbaussicht", and about 600 metres away you'll find the Edeka Frischemarkt (7:30-11:00 and 15:00-17:00) and a restaurant at the Stover Strand campsite.
