About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Tånnö båthamn is a small municipal boat harbour at the village of Tånnö, on the eastern shore of Lake Vidöstern, about ten kilometres due south of Värnamo. The harbour is linked to the local boat club and the adjoining swimming area, and in 2026 the municipality was granted permission to carry out dredging and renovation of the harbour.
At the boat club there is a concrete ramp where you can launch your boat. Right next to it lies Tånnö swimming area with a jetty, playground, toilets and changing rooms, within walking distance of the village itself.
The surroundings offer an idyllic small village with a church, ancient burial sites and one of the municipality's most beautiful beaches – the spot became world-famous when a local girl found a Viking-age sword in the lake off the swimming area. Lake Vidöstern is also known as a popular fishing lake for pike, pikeperch and perch.
Tie up at the small harbour, launch your boat on the ramp, and take a stroll down to the beach and the old burial fields in Tånnö.
