About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

Verein Bremer Segelfreunde is a sailing club with around 70 members, located at Lesumbroker Landstrasse 95 on the left bank of the river Lesum, between the Lesumbrücke bridge and the Lesumsperrwerk barrier, opposite the guesthouse „Murken's Krug zur Fähre“. The facility is a floating pontoon 144 metres long, secured to 4 dolphins, with berths for a total of about 25 boats, both alongside and inside.

The marina is protected from flooding by the Lesumsperrwerk, the boats never dry out at low water, and there is no need to lower masts. The site lies within a nature reserve among reed beds, and Knoops Park lies on the opposite bank. Guest sailors are welcome, and berthing fees can be calculated proportionally for the season months.

The marina has a slipway, a trolley system for storing the floating pontoon ashore, the club's own parking area, a storage container for boat supplies, and a clubhouse with a grill area right by the water.

Knoops Park lies across the river, and the guesthouse „Murken's Krug zur Fähre“ is right next to the facility. Winter berths are available a little further up the Lesum, directly behind the club, at the Dirk Murken shipyard, which offers hauling and launching as well as mast stepping and unstepping. Moor at the 144-metre pontoon and walk straight from the water to the grill area or the guesthouse next door.
