About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Vikens Hamn is a marina in the picturesque fishing village of Viken on the Öresund coast, about 7 nautical miles northwest of Helsingborg. The harbour was originally built for tall ships and local commercial fishing in 1869 and is today mainly used by leisure boats.
The entrance is always dredged to a minimum depth of 2.5 metres, while the depth at the berths ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 metres. The harbour has a total of 215 berths, and boats larger than 12x4x2 metres are advised to enter only in an emergency. The harbour uses red/green signage for guest berths, and the guest fee starts from 300 SEK per night, paid at the machine by the service house.
At the service house by the slipway you'll find toilets, showers, and washing/drying facilities, with the payment station in the same building. Shore power and fresh water are available at the berths, and the harbour offers waste disposal, pump-out for holding tanks, and Wi-Fi. There is a fuel station nearby, and bicycles can be rented at Restaurant Mavi.
Walk up into the charming village and you'll find four restaurants (three in winter) with varying menus, a gallery with a café, the maritime museum, and Galleri Hamnen. There are also grocery stores such as ICA, playgrounds, and a lovely bathing spot in the nature reserve just north of the harbour. Moor up at Vikens Hamn and explore the old fishing village while enjoying a refreshing swim in the Öresund.
