About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Vrångö fishing and guest harbour lies on the west side of the inhabited archipelago island of Vrångö in the Gothenburg archipelago, north of the old lookout point. The island has around 400 permanent residents and fishing remains an important livelihood. The harbour itself is home to three or four fishing boats, while the large guest harbour has space for roughly 130 visiting boats and also has a newly built day-dock for shorter stays.
Anchoring is not permitted in the harbour – mooring is by fixed stern lines with the bow towards the dock, or by buoy. The harbour fee is paid at one of two ticket machines, one by the service house and one at the start of the main guest pier, and must be paid within 30 minutes of arrival. During summer (April–October) you have full access to the service building, while the harbour remains open the rest of the year without access to it – in winter a shore-power fee of 100 SEK per day is charged instead.
The service building houses toilets, showers and a laundry room with washer and dryer, and the harbour fee also covers electricity and waste disposal from the boat. On the pier there's a viewing deck built in 2012 with tables and benches, and just outside the pier lies the popular harbour swimming spot.
