About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Waddenhaven Ameland is located in the middle of the island of Ameland, at the former ferry pier, in a tidal area with an average tidal range of 2.5 metres. The marina has a cosy, nostalgic atmosphere and offers space for 50 permanent berths and 80 guest berths.
Depth in the harbour is around NAP-320, and at normal tide a draft of up to 150 cm is possible - if in doubt, contact the harbour master. Booking a berth in advance is not possible, but availability can be checked on waddenhavens, which is updated daily. If the harbour office is closed, you can pay via I-Marina.
The marina has separate showers and toilets for men, women and people with disabilities behind the harbour office, as well as a washing machine, dryer and dishwashing area. The berths have electricity and water included in the mooring fee, and free wifi is available throughout the marina (password from the harbour office). Next to the harbour office is café/restaurant "The Harbour" with a terrace and lovely views over the harbour and the Wadden Sea, and bike rental is available right beside it.
There is no fuel station within the marina itself, but just over the dike there is a petrol station, and behind the dike you'll find a tourist office (VVV) and a supermarket. Moor at one of the 80 guest berths and walk the short distance over the dike to the shops and fuel station.
