About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

WMBC Heilbronn is a club marina on the Neckar at km 112.9, situated in the quiet side channel Wilhelmskanal by the BUGA area, sheltered from wash and waves from the main river. The marina is flood-proof and offers year-round berths, though the total number of berths is not stated.

Entry is either via the historic Wilhelmschleuse (two chambers, the right one for boats wider than 2.5 m, the left for narrower boats) coming from upstream, or via the old Neckar arm and Wilhelmskanal from downstream – note strong cross-currents at the bridge passage there. Water depth in the marina is about 1.00-1.20 m, in the Wilhelmskanal itself about 1.40 m, and bridge clearance is max. about 3.20 m above the waterline. Large yachts unable to pass the lock can moor at two guest berths with electricity and water right by the clubhouse. The guest fee is €2 per metre (or part thereof) per night plus a flat fee of €7 (€10 for the exclusive berths by the clubhouse) covering water, electricity and waste. The clubhouse is staffed every weekend in summer from Friday 19:00; outside these hours drinks can be bought from the harbourmaster.

The marina offers electricity and water at the pontoons, free wifi, and modern toilets and showers in the clubhouse. Waste disposal is included in the flat fee.

Heilbronn's city centre is just a 5-minute walk from the marina, with shops, restaurants, discount stores, theatres, museums, cinemas, doctors, a train station and post office.
