About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026WSV De Zeevang is a quiet club marina on the western side of the Markermeer, at Zeedijk 4 in Edam. The marina is run entirely by volunteers and is described as one of the greenest and most sustainable marinas along the Markermeer.
The entrance to the outer harbour is dredged every spring, so boats with a draft of up to about 2.30 metres can normally enter without problems. Sail in via the full channel; the harbour entrance is on the port side. Berth lengths are marked at the end of the pontoons, while the width varies and increases from the quay wall towards the end of the pontoon. Harbour dues are paid via a QR code at the berth or at the harbourmaster's office, by card only. The rate is €9.09 per night plus €1.19 per metre of boat length, plus a tourist tax of €3.40 per person per night on board.
The new sanitary building with toilets and showers, plus electricity and fresh water on the pontoon, are free to use. The marina offers free loan bikes available from the harbourmaster, and there is a playground with a swing, seesaw, sandbox, climbing house with slide and a table-tennis table. In summer (June-July) a Happy Hour is held every Sunday at 17:00 with music and drinks for members and guest sailors.
Historic Edam lies just under 1.5 km from the marina and can be reached on foot or by one of the free loan bikes.
