About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Yacht Club Alghero sits at the heart of the Riviera del Corallo on Sardinia's northwest coast, sheltered by the old Catalan town walls and close to Alghero's historic centre. Run by the Consorzio del Porto di Alghero, the marina has 2,200 mooring places and is described as the richest harbour on Sardinia's west coast; it has been awarded the Blue Marina Award.
The harbour takes boats up to 50 metres long with draughts of up to 4.5 metres, and it is open 24 hours a day. Call the consortium on VHF channel 9 on arrival, and a rib will meet you at the entrance to guide you to your berth and assist with mooring and casting off. Shore power columns supply 125 Ah.
At Banchina Dogana and Sanità, just inside the old walls, you'll find fresh water and electricity (single- or three-phase up to 63 A/100 kW) at the quay, toilets and showers, mail service, and technical-tourist information. Nearby affiliated partners offer a mast crane and travel lift, boatyard and rigging work, electricians and smiths, sail lofts, and a laundry.
Beyond the quay lies Alghero's historic centre with Catalan-Gothic churches, Aragonese palaces and several museums such as the Museo Archeologico and Museo del Corallo, while the coast offers secluded coves with white beaches. Berth at Banchina Dogana e Sanità and walk the short distance through the walls into the town's cafés and sights.
