Yachthafen Donautal

Yachthafen Donautal is an idyllic, quiet marina in the Donautal valley, on the edge of Kapfelberg between Kelheim and Regensburg, separated from the Danube itself by a solid dam so the harbour basin lies calm and unaffected by passing commercial traffic.

The entrance and the two central pontoons have a minimum depth of 2.0 m, while the rest of the harbour basin has a consistent minimum depth of 1.2 m; boats with a draught over 2.0 m and sailing boats should only enter by prior arrangement. The season runs from 1 April to 24 October, Monday-Friday 10:00-18:00 and Saturday/Sunday/holidays 09:00-18:00; the slipway closes at 18:00. Guests are asked to report to the harbour office immediately on arrival, and an electronic access card is issued for the pontoons and sanitary facilities against a deposit of 50 €.

All pontoons have water and electricity connections, and there is a modern crane (up to 10,000 kg) plus a gently sloping slipway with a continuous service pontoon, where harbour staff assist inexperienced boaters, using a tractor if needed. There are showers (2 € per person) and a large parking area, with free car and trailer parking included in the berthing, slipway or crane fees for guests. Boots-Center-Limmer offers boat equipment and service at the marina, and the Hafen-Imbiss snack bar serves food right at the harbour.
