About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026The harbour of Anglerverein "Zum Kormoran" Brandshagen e.V. lies in Niederhof on the Strelasund, within the protected "Nordvorpommersche Boddenlandschaft" nature area. It is a small club harbour with a jetty and open ground, run by the angling club under a 1997 agreement with the municipality of Brandshagen.
Due to the shallow water and the unmarked approach, only small craft such as canoes, kayaks and sailing dinghies can dock here. The harbour is used both by club members and as a water-hikers' rest stop for paddlers and similar small-boat visitors.
At the harbour you will find the clubhouse with an adjoining car park.
Right next to the harbour lies the nature reserve "Kormorankolonie Niederhof", a protected cormorant colony established in 1967, worth viewing from the shore. Approach carefully with a small craft and enjoy the quiet Bodden landscape close to the bird colony.
