About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Sneeker Jachthaven is the municipal guest harbour of Sneek in Friesland, stretching from the harbour office at Somerrakpromenade all the way to Waterpoort. The harbour flies the Blue Flag as a mark of cleanliness and safety, and there are also berths for guests with disabilities.
Berthing fees apply from 16.00: a berth without power costs €1.60 per metre per night, with shore power €2.15 per metre per night. If you live outside the municipality, a tourist tax of €2.00 per person per night is added (free for children under 4). You pay by card at the harbour office or via a QR code at your berth. Bridges and locks in the municipality are operated seven days a week during the season from 28 March to 1 November, with no bridge toll, though Makkum and Workum charge lock fees.
Most berths have shore power, and there are water taps at several points in the harbour. The public showers are open daily 7.00-21.00 (closed in winter from 1 November to 27 March), and the toilet building includes a disabled toilet. You can pump out sewage and bilge water free of charge: heading towards Sneekermeer you'll find a waste-water station on the left side of the harbour and a combined waste-water/bilge station at the aqueduct on the right; towards IJlst there's a pump at Lemmerbrug (Waterpoort), and towards Wite Brekken, just past the ring road, a station on the left. There is no wifi in the harbour.
