Havens Zuid

Havens Zuid is one of three guest marinas on Starteiland in the Sneekermeer, near Sneek in Friesland, with a total of more than 400 berths spread across the three harbours. Depth in the harbours is about 1.90 m; boats with a deeper draught should choose a berth via Kolmeersgat in the southern harbour, while deep-draught vessels can moor on the north and west side of the island. The island is only reached by ferry from the mainland, where there is also ample parking for cars, motorhomes and boat trailers. The marina has shore power posts, drinking water taps and a pump-out facility for wastewater in the southern harbour. In the centre of the island stands a harbour building with extensive sanitary facilities, including showers (also for wheelchair users) and a family/baby room, plus a laundry with washing machines (€5) and tumble dryers (€4); the harbourmaster's office is also located here. At Paviljoenwei there is a public slipway with a boat crane, free to use for race participants. In the Pottengebied on the western shore of the Sneekermeer there is accommodation and large campsites within walking distance of the ferry crossing. Moor at one of the three harbours on Starteiland and head straight to the harbour building for a shower, laundry and shore power.
