Bassin à Flot

The marina is located in Honfleur, in the Calvados department of Normandy, on the left bank of the Seine estuary, where an outer harbour and several tidal basins – including the historic Vieux Bassin and the Bassin Carnot – together form the town's yachting harbour.

You call the port office on VHF channel 9, and access is through lock gates that keep the water level constant inside the basins; passage through the lock is possible around the clock, with entries on the hour and exits on the half hour. At the strongest tidal coefficient there is up to 6 metres of depth at the entrance. The port office's opening hours vary by season – from morning and afternoon shifts in low season to being open all day from 9am to 7.30pm in high season.

On the pontoons you'll find fresh water and electricity (16A), plus sanitary facilities with toilets and showers. The port sorts waste and has a facility for pumping out grey and black water at Quai de la jetée Est. There is wifi on site, two slipways for launching boats, two marine repair companies and a shipwright. You can refuel here, and there are restaurants, bars and cafés/ice-cream stops within the harbour area, along with parking facilities.

Just steps from the pontoon you find yourself amid the picturesque Vieux Bassin, with its tall, colourful timber-framed houses reflected in the water, and you can visit La Lieutenance and the old quarters with their artists' studios and restaurants.
