About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Porto di Bordighera is a small municipally run marina at the foot of Capo Sant'Ampelio, northeast of the old town of Bordighera in Liguria, roughly midway between San Remo and the French border. The harbour is enclosed by a roughly 260-metre breakwater to the northeast and a shorter one to the southeast, with around 200 berths spread across several floating pontoons.
The entrance faces northeast, and boats entering must keep at least 100 metres from the red light and keep speed to a maximum of 2 knots – entry is not advised in winds from the first and second quadrants (easterly/Sirocco swell). The marina monitors VHF channel 16, access is from dawn to dusk, and one entire pontoon is set aside for visiting yachts on short stays. One pontoon is reserved for transiting boats up to 6 metres, while the other pontoons typically take boats up to 9 metres.
Ashore you'll find fresh water and shore power at the berths, a ramp/slipway for smaller craft, a launching slip, and a 25-tonne mobile crane for lifting boats in and out, plus outdoor winter storage for boats. Toilet facilities are available in the harbour area.
A short walk from the pontoons brings you up into Bordighera's old town, Bordighera Alta, with winding medieval lanes around Via Dritta and Via Lunga and the church on the headland at Sant'Ampelio.
