About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Dybvig Havn is located on the south side of the small fruit island Fejø and today serves as a marina that has retained its old-time character. The site, formerly known as "Dyvet", functioned for generations as a natural sheltered harbour before a proper harbour was built in 1810-1814 by three brothers from Ærø - the start of what we today know as Dybvig Havn.
The channel leading into the marina is marked with red and green buoys, and sailors are advised to study the chart closely to avoid running aground outside the channel. Reserving a berth in advance is not possible - visiting yachts moor alongside each other, and there is a tradition of helping one another with the mooring lines.
At the marina you will find toilets and shower facilities, fresh water and shore power, as well as fuel. There is a well-stocked grocery store and the cosy Café Dybvig right by the marina, and families with children can enjoy a playground. The marina's two slipways are popular both for launching boats and among young crab hunters.
Fejø is known as the "Island of Apples", and from the marina you can walk or cycle out to discover the island's many fruit trees and its shops and eateries. Just a short walk from the marina lies the Blue Flag beach Sletteren, with a bathing jetty, picnic tables and public restrooms. The harbour comes alive during the season with recurring events such as Apple Day and a wooden ship gathering.
