About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026

Vesterbyhavn is located on the west side of Fejø, a Danish island north of Lolland in the Smålandsfarvandet waters. The island has two villages, Vesterby and Østerby, connected by a single main road, and Fejø's two main harbours are Vesterbyhavn and Dybvighavn.

A subsidised ferry from Kragenæs sails to Vesterbyhavn in 15 minutes and runs about 20 times a day; the crossing is free for island residents. A subsidised bus also provides free transport around the island.

At Vesterbyhavn there is a bicycle-sharing system where you can hire a bike for 50 kr. a day – the same scheme is also available at Dybvighavn on the other side of the island.
