About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Ungskär is a small fishing harbour with a guest marina in the eastern part of Karlskrona's outer archipelago, north of Utlängan. The island is low and grassy, and from a distance the cottages appear to float on the sea. The harbour is owned and operated by Karlskrona municipality.
The approach runs through a dredged and marked channel that can be tricky for boats with a deeper draught – head right up to the West beacon south of the harbour and steer straight for the harbour entrance from there. Harbour depth is 1.8-2 metres, and mooring is long-side or by anchor. Guest berths with access to shore power are located at the outer part of the south pier.
Drinking water can be collected from the tap, and toilets and a waste station are located at the south jetty. The harbour also has a launching ramp and slipway.
From Ungskär, a pleasant footpath leads on to the island of Ljungskär, and map sheets of the island can be obtained from the arrivals building at the harbour. There is daily archipelago traffic to Torhamn year-round and to Karlskrona in summer. Berth at the south pier and take the lovely footpath over to Ljungskär.
