About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Geilevika is a guest harbour located within a fishing harbour on the island of Godøya in Giske municipality, Møre og Romsdal, at the entrance to Ålesund from the west via the Breisundet strait.
The harbour is well sheltered with good wind conditions, except in strong south-westerly winds. The approach is from the south, and the harbour depth is around 2.1-2.2 metres. There is room for 3-4 guest boats spread across two guest jetties: jetty 1 to the south, well protected by a stone breakwater, and jetty 2 to the east in front of the service building. One visiting sailor reported a guest berth price of around 200 NOK per night.
The service building is shared with motorhome and camping visitors and contains a toilet and shower. The harbour also offers fresh water, a waste/environmental station, petrol and diesel, a kiosk/grocery shop, a playground, parking, shore power at the berth, and a slipway. One guest sailor noted, however, that there was neither water nor electricity right at the guest jetty by the breakwater, and that the service building was a bit worn but usable.
Within walking distance of the harbour is the nearest grocery shop, Joker Godøy, about 1 km away. From here you can also enjoy walks into the mountains or along the shore on the south and west sides of Godøya all the way to Alnes. Come and berth in sheltered Geilevika and explore the fine walking trails on Godøya.
