About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Gilleleje Harbour is Zealand's largest fishing port and at the same time an active marina on the Kattegat, with space for 220 permanent leisure boats.
The harbour can normally be entered both day and night, and Nakkehoved Lighthouse and the marks on Gilleleje Flak provide good guidance. Be aware of strong currents in the entrance channel – a storm from the NW gives a strong east-going current, and from the SE a strong west-going current. There are no dedicated guest berths, so watch for green signs in the marina. Harbour dues are paid by credit card at the machine and include toilet, shower and WiFi (code on the receipt); electricity costs DKK 30 per day. The price depends on boat length: DKK 200 for boats up to 2.45 m, DKK 230 up to 3.45 m, DKK 260 up to 4.45 m and DKK 430 for boats over 4.46 m. The harbour office is open weekdays 9am-2pm.
At the harbour you'll find centrally located toilets and showers, electricity and fresh water at the berths, waste facilities, a fuel station, a slipway, a yacht crane and mast crane, plus a boatyard cradle. There is a chandlery, a kiosk, fishmongers, restaurants, a grill bar and cafés, and a nature playground on the harbour grounds.
The town of Gilleleje adjoins the harbour directly, with charming old houses and many shops and grocery stores – Rema 1000 and Coop 365 are about a 5-minute walk away.
