About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Kasseler Hafen lies on the River Fulda in Kassel, at position 51°19.2' N 009°31.3' E, and is home to the Yacht Club Kassel (YCK). The former trading harbour opened in 1895 and was used for cargo traffic until the 1970s, after which the entire water area was taken over by leisure boaters. The marina has more than 60 berths for motor and sailing boats, shared roughly equally between club members and marina tenants.
The harbour is now owned by Yacht Club Kassel, which bought the whole site in 2001, including the water area, the entrance channel and most of the quay strip.
The harbour has sanitary facilities with toilets and showers, which the club plans to modernise. The clubhouse is located at Hafenstraße 93.
The Fulda offers weekend and after-work cruising, while the route via Hann. Münden and the Weser opens up the wider German inland waterway network for longer trips.
