About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Helligpeder Havn is a small fishing harbour on Bornholm's west coast, about 3 km north of Hasle. The harbour was built in 1870 and consists of two smaller basins, though today only the inner basin is used for permanent boat berths. The harbour now mainly serves as a marina for pleasure craft and dinghies, while still being used by recreational fishermen.
The inner harbour is usually filled with local boats, but the outer harbour is kept free for visiting yachtsmen, and there is generally always room for one more in the inner harbour. It is recommended to arrive during daylight in clear, good-visibility conditions, but not in onshore gales, and there is no set limit on how long you can stay.
At the harbour you'll find toilets and a shower with hot water, as well as a power outlet for visiting boats.
Around the harbour stand the preserved old smokehouse chimneys and small fishing cottages, which together with the surrounding coastal landscape give the place great cultural and historical value. From here you can set out on coastal walks along the west coast towards Jons Kapel and Blåskinsdalen, or head south to Hasle with its smokehouses, lovely sandy beach, sea bath and a cultural centre for Bornholm arts and crafts. Sail into Helligpeder and experience the peaceful atmosphere and magnificent sunsets in one of Bornholm's most authentic fishing villages.
