About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Hammerhavn is one of Bornholm Municipality's ten municipal harbours and is located in the northern part of Bornholm, in the former granite shipping harbour, right at the foot of the Hammershus ruins. The harbour is fairly new, with a handsome granite mole that was renovated as part of a total investment of more than DKK 25 million.
Visiting yachters are welcome throughout the outer harbour basin and at vacant berths in the inner basin. The overnight fee includes electricity, water and shower, and discounts apply for multiple nights combined across Bornholm's harbours.
The harbour offers new service facilities with toilets and showers, drinking water and shore power at the berths, as well as a small café and a shop in the harbour's characteristic wooden houses, where you can also learn about the area's history as a granite shipping site.
There is a small sandy beach at the innermost part of the harbour. Sandvig is just 2 km away. On foot you can reach Hammershus, Slotslyngen and Hammerknuden, and a few hundred metres from the harbour lies Hammersøen with a barbecue pavilion and viewing bridge. In August, the island's largest music festival, Wonderfestival, takes place within walking distance of the harbour.
