About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Hestehoved Lystbådehavn is a small marina set in a large, scenic recreational area a couple of kilometres from the town of Nakskov, at the far end of the Hestehovedet peninsula in the middle of Nakskov Fjord. The harbour was once dug out by shovel and spade, and the soil was used to form the hill where Restaurant Fjorden now stands.
The sail through Nakskov Fjord past the many small islands is an experience in itself, with several fine anchorages and swimming spots along the way. Guest berth fees are charged according to boat length, with the smallest boats paying the lowest rate, while electricity, toilets, showers and wifi are included in the harbour fee. A crane can also be hired for boat lifting.
The marina offers toilets, showers and fresh water, along with shore power on the berths. There is wifi, a washing machine and sewage pump-out, as well as diesel fuel. The harbour is also known for its slipway, which is very user-friendly thanks to its low height. Close to the marina you'll find a grocery shop, a restaurant, a barbecue area and a playground.
Within walking distance lie Restaurant Fjorden and an 18-hole minigolf course with fine views over the fjord. The child-friendly bathing beach has a long bathing jetty with a sauna at the end, and by the sailing club a crab-fishing jetty has been set up where children can catch crabs.
