About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Hirtshals Marina lies in the Vesthavnen area of Hirtshals in North Jutland, right next to the town centre with views over the harbour and the sea. It is a modern, welcoming marina with about 10 or more berths and floating pontoons.
Entry is via Hirtshals Havn and Vesthavnen, where pontoon no. 1 is the guest harbour. Depth at the entrance is about 4-6 metres, while depth at the berths is typically 2.5-3.5 metres. Guest berths are clearly marked with green signs. The guest fee is around 150-400 DKK per night depending on boat size, with larger boats paying up to about 450 DKK, and a shower is included in the price. Be aware of westerly winds and current at the entrance, and note the 3-knot speed limit within the harbour.
The marina offers toilets and showers, a kitchen and common room, as well as electricity and water on the pontoons and WiFi. There is a fuel berth with diesel within the harbour area, while petrol can be found at a filling station about 2 km away.
You can walk directly from pontoon no. 1 up to the town via the well-known Trappen (the Steps) and the Monument. There is a supermarket and eateries about a 5-minute walk from the boat, with Hirtshals Strand and the Nordsøen Oceanarium a short distance away. Tie up at pontoon no. 1, climb the Steps for the view, and enjoy the town's restaurants and cafés just minutes from your boat.
