About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Hjortø Havn is a small guest harbour on the island of Hjortø in the heart of the South Funen Archipelago, operated by Svendborg Havn under Svendborg Municipality. The marina has around 20 guest berths and is easy to enter for visiting sailors, while also serving the local ferry Hjortøboen from Svendborg.
You can moor your own boat among the roughly 20 guest berths, with harbour fees paid online or via a QR code posted at the marina. The harbour feels charming and peaceful, though facilities are limited – so remember to bring what you need on board.
At the piers you'll find shore power for your boat (up to 16 amps) and access to a nice, newly renovated service building with toilet, showers and running water; you can also charge your phone here. The harbour has an environmental station with an approved waste management plan, and there is a barbecue area for guests to use. In the historic fisherman's house, which also serves as a small museum, you can buy ice cream on warm summer days.
Hjortø is one of Denmark's least populated island communities, with no shops, inns or cars, giving it a truly special peace and quiet. Right next to the harbour lies a campsite with shelters, and the island offers child-friendly beaches, rich birdlife and lovely walks through untouched nature. Moor at Hjortø Havn and experience the genuine island atmosphere in the middle of the archipelago.
