About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026

Drejø Havn is the island's main marina in the South Funen Archipelago, serving both as a ferry harbour for M/F Højestene from Svendborg and as a guest harbour for sailors. The harbour has 40 guest berths, making it one of the larger harbours among the small South Funen islands.

The approach to the harbour is easy, though in high season it can fill up quickly – with good anchoring spots available just outside. The view from the harbour across the archipelago towards Ærø, Hjortø and Tåsinge is described as world-class.

The harbour has a facilities building with toilets, showers and handicap facilities, along with a kitchen, washing machine and dryer. There are picnic tables, a barbecue area and a community house where sailors often gather. Close to the harbour is a small grocery store for basic supplies, and there is a playground with equipment for both children and adults.

Down by the harbour, kids and playful adults alike enjoy the floating raft, where you can pull yourself out to a buoy to swim, catch crabs or just soak up the sun. There's a beach right next to the harbour, and a particularly nice beach with a bathing jetty, Bækskilde, is about a 10-minute walk from the playground. Drejø Church, built in 1535 and restored in 2010, sits beautifully facing south towards Ærø and is well worth a visit, as are the local farm shops along the way offering the island's own produce.
